Automatic Rewind, Off, Eject

When a tape is played or fast forwarded to its end, the VCP will rewind the tape, stop, turn itself off, and eject the tape. (The VCP will not operate this way if Repeat Playback is acti- vated. Details are on page 17.)

Tape Eject

A tape can be ejected with the VCP power on or off (but the VCP must be plugged in).

Automatic Tracking Adjustment

The VCP has automatic tracking adjustment, which gives you the best possible picture quality. With some recordings, howev- er, you may get a better picture using the manual tracking con- trols (see below).

Manual Tracking

To adjust the tracking manually during tape playback, press the TRACKING (Up/Down) buttons on the remote control. NOTE:

Tracking is returned to automatic tracking adjustment when a tape is inserted or when the STOP button is pressed to halt play- back.
