How to connect your video recorder to the

TV set

Werecommend the use of a scart cable. This will give you the
bestpicture and sound quality.
Whenyou install your video recorder for the first time, please
read:
EIfyour TV set has a scart socket and you are using a
scartcable, please read the section ’Connecting with a
scartcable’.
EThesection ’Connecting without a scart cable’, when you
don’tuse a scart cable.

Connecting with a scart cable

aSwitchoff the TV set.
bRemovethe aerial cable plug from your TV set and insert
itinto the 2socketat the back of the video recorder.
cPlugone end of the aerial cable provided into the 3
socketon the video recorder and the other end into the
aerialinput socket on your TV set.
dPlugone end of the scart cable into the EXT.1 AV 1 scart
socketat the back of the video recorder and the other
endinto the scart socket on your TV set (see instruction
manualTV set).
eSwitchon the TV set.
fInsertone end of the mains cable into the mains socket
4atthe back of the video recorder and the other end
intothe wall socket.
gWhenyour TV set automatically switches to programme
numbere.g.: ’EXT’, ’0’, or ’AV’, this text will appear on the
TVscreen:

DIfyour TV set does not switch to programme number
