Adjusting initial settings

Initialsettings lets you per form initial setup of
differentsettings for this unit.
1Functiondisplay
Showsthe function names.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
OFFto turn this unit off.
#Whenthe source icon is not displayed, you
candisplay it by touching the screen.
2 TouchA.MENU and then touch INITIAL
todisplay the function names.
Thefunction names are displayed and oper-
ableones are highlighted.
#WhenA.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-
playit by touching the screen.
#Youcan also display MENU by clicking the
joystick.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#Whenthe multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-
P8000)is connected to this unit, you can operate
DIGITALATT instead of REAR SPEAKER.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, touch
ESC.
Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition,a warning tone will sound. You can
turnoff the warning tone.
1 TouchA.MENU and INITIAL and then
touchDETACH WARNING.
2 Touchato turn warning tone on.
#Toturn warning tone off, touch b.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Itis possible to use auxiliar y equipment with
thisunit. Activate the auxiliar y setting when
usingauxiliary equipment connectedto this
unit.
1 TouchA.MENU and INITIAL and then
touchAUX.
2 Touchato turn auxiliary setting on.
#Toturn auxiliary setting off, touch b.
Setting the rear output andsubwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (FULL) or subwoofer (SUB. W)
connection.If you switch the rear outputset-
tingto the SUB. W, you can connect a rear
speakerlead directly to a subwoofer without
usingan auxiliary amp.
