requiresthe drilling of holes or other modifica-
tionsof the vehicle.
!Installthe unit where it does not get in the dri-
ver’sway and cannot injure the passenger if
thereis a sudden stop, like an emergency
stop.
!Whenmounting this unit, make sure none of
theleads are trapped between this unit and
thesurrounding metalwork or fittings.
!Donot mount this unit near the heater outlet,
whereit would be affected by heat, or near the
doors,where rainwater might splash onto it.
!Beforedrilling any mounting holes always
checkbehind where you want to drill the
holes.Do not drill into the gas line, brake line,
electricalwiring or other important parts.
!Ifthis unit installed in the passenger compart-
ment,anchor it securely so it does not break
freewhile the vehicle is moving, and cause in-
juryor an accident.
!Ifthis unit is installed under a front seat,
makesure it does not obstruct seat move-
ment.Route all leads and cords carefully
aroundthe sliding mechanism so they do not
caughtor pinched in the mechanism and
causea short-circuit.

Mounting with Velcrofasteners

Thoroughlywipe off the surface beforeaffixing

theVelcro fasteners.

!Ifthe Velcro fasteners (hard) adhere to the

carmat directly, you may install this unit

withoutusing the Velcro fasteners (soft).
