iPod compatibility

This unit supports only the following iPod models. Supported iPod software versions are shown below. Older versions may not be supported.

Folder selection sequence or other operation may differ depending on the encoding or writ- ing software.

Operations may vary depending on the software ver- sion of iPod.

When using an iPod, iPod Dock Connector to USB Cable is required.

Pioneer CD-IU50 interface cable is also available. For details, consult your dealer.

External storage device (USB, SD) Playback sequence is the same as recorded sequence in the external storage device (USB, SD).

To specify the playback sequence, the follow- ing method is recommended.

1Create the file name including numbers that specify the playback sequence (e.g., 001xxx.mp3 and 099yyy.mp3).

2Put those files into a folder.

3Save the folder containing files on the external storage device (USB, SD).

However, depending on the system environ- ment, you cannot specify the playback se- quence.

For USB portable audio players, the sequence is different and depends on the player.
