2 PressMulti-Control to select the FM
tuningstep.
PressingMulti-Control repeatedly will switch
theFM tuning step between 50 kHz and 100
kHz.The selected FM tuning step will appear
inthe display.
Note
Ifseek tuning is performed in 50 kHz steps,sta-
tionsmay be tuned in imprecisely. Tune in the sta-
tionswith manual tuning or use seek tuning
again.
Setting the AM tuning step
TheAM tuning step can be switched between
9kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When
usingthe tuner in North, Central or South
America,reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531
1,602kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 1,640
kHzallowable).
1 UseMulti-Control to select AM Step.
AMStep appears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to select the AM
tuningstep.
PressingMulti-Control repeatedly will switch
theAM tuning step between 9 kHz and 10 kHz.
Theselected AM tuning step will appear in the
display.
Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within four seconds of turning off
theignition, a warning tone will sound. You
canturn off the warning tone.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Warning.
Warningappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn warning
toneon.
Warning:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn warning tone off, press Multi-Control
again.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Itis possible to use auxiliar y equipment with
thisunit. Activate the auxiliar y setting when
usingauxiliary equipment connectedto this
unit.
1 UseMulti-Control to select AUX.
AUXappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn AUX on.
AUX:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn AUX off, press Multi-Control again.
Switching the dimmer setting
Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night,the display is automatically dimmed
whenthe car s headlights are turned on. You
canturn the dimmer on or off.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Dimmer.
Dimmerappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn dimmer on.
Dimmer:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn dimmer off, press Multi-Control
again.
