Note: The camera is not operable while the batteries are removed, even if the power adapter/trickle charger is connected. Furthermore, you may need to reset the camera's date, time, default picture label and automatic shutoff settings if the batteries are removed from the camera for more than 30 minutes. For these reasons, you may want to purchase additional “AA” NiCad batteries for use while others are charging. (See Recommended battery types on page 210.)
