How ToOrder Replacement Parts

Thereplacement parts are shown either on the
backpages of this Instruction Book or in a
separateParts List Book.
Useonly manufacturer ’sauthorized or approved
replacementparts. The letter placed on the end
ofthe part number denotes the type of finish for
thepart, C for chrome, Z for zinc, a PA for
purchasedassembly. It is important that you
includethis when ordering a part. Do not use
attachmentsor accessories not specifically
recommendedfor this unit. In order to obtain
properreplacement parts you must supply the
modelnumber (see nameplate).

TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART

TROUBLE CAUSE CORRECTION

Difficultstarting Defectivespark plug. Replacespark plug.
Wateror dirt in fuel system. Usecarburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with
freshfuel.
Engineruns erratic Blocked fuel line, empty gas tank, or stale
gasoline Cleanfuel line; check fuel supply; add fresh
gasoline
Enginestalls Unitrunning on CHOKE. Setchoke lever to RUN position.
Engineruns erratic;
Lossof power Wateror dirt in fuel system. Usecarburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with
freshfuel.
Excessivevibration Looseparts: damaged impeller Stopengine immediately and disconnect spark
plugwire. Tightenall bolts and make all
necessaryrepairs. Ifvibration continues, have
theunit serviced by a competent repairman.
Unitfails to propel itself Drivebelt loose or damaged. Replacedrive belt.
Incorrectadjustment of traction drive cable Adjusttraction drive cable.
Wornor damaged friction wheel. Replacefriction wheel.
Unitfails to discharge snow Augerdrive belt loose or damaged. Adjustauger drive belt; replace if damaged.
Augercontrol cable not adjusted correctly. Adjust auger control cable.
Shearbolt broken Replaceshear bolt
Dischargechute clogged. Stop engine immediately and disconnect spark
plugwire. Cleandischarge chute and inside of
augerhousing.
Foreignobject lodged in auger Stopengine immediately and disconnect spark
plugwire. Removeobject from auger.
