8. Pull guide bar forwarduntil the chain
issnug in the guide bar groove. En-
sure all drive links are in the bar
groove.
9. Install bar clamp. Be sure adjusting
pinis in the adjusting pin hole in the
guide bar.
CAUTION: Itis very important when ins-
talling the bar clamp that the adjusting pin
alignsinto the adjusting pin hole in the bar.
Failure to install the bar c lamp correctly
may result in permanentda mage toyou r
chain saw.

10.Install bar knob;finger tightenonly.
Do not tighten any further at this
point. Proceed to CHAIN ADJUST-
MENT.

STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps aftereach use:
SAllow motor to cool before storing or
transporting.
SStorechain saw and extensioncord in a
well ventilated area
SStorechain saw with all guards in place
and position chain saw so that
any sharp object cannot accidentally
cause injury.
SStore chain saw unplugged, well out of
the reach of children.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepareyour unit for storage at the end of
the season or if it willnot be used for 30
days or more.
If yourchain saw is to be stored for a
period of time:
SClean it thoroughlybefore lengthy stor-
age.
SStore in a clean dry area.
SLightly oil externalmetal surfaces and
guide bar.
SOil the chain and wrap itin heavy
paperorcloth.
