OIL

Under FUELING ENGINE in the OPERA-

TIONsec tion of this manual, see message la-

beledI MPORTANTr egarding the use of ga-

sohol in your engine. Fuel stabilizeris an ac-

ceptable alternative in minimizing the formation

of fuel gum deposits during storage. Add s tabi-

lizer to gasoline in fuel tank o r fuel storage con-

tainer.Follow the mix ins tructions found ons ta-

bilizer container. Run engine at least 5 minutes

after addings tabilizer.

HELPFUL TIP

Duringstor age of your gas/

oilmixture, the oil will sepa-

rate from the gas.

We recommend that you

shake the gas can weekly

toinsure proper blending of

the gas and oil.

SRemoves park plug and pour1 teas poonof

40:1,2-cyc le engine oil (air cooled) through

the spark plug opening. Slowly pull the

starter rope 8 to 10 times to distribute oil.

SReplacespark plug with new one of recom-

mended type and heat range (see RE-

PLACE SPARK PLUG section).

SClean air filter.

SCheck entire unit for loose sc rews, nuts,

and bolts. Replace any damaged, broken,

or worn parts.

SAt the beginning of the next season, use

onlyfresh fuel having the proper gasoline to

oil ratio.

SDo not store gasoline from one season to

another.

SReplaceyour gas oline can if its tarts to rust.
