Cannot read/identify a disc. | - | Disc inserted the wrong way. The disc must be |
| placed into the PowerFile with the data side to the |
| left, and the label side to the right. |
| - Disc has no volume tag. While most commercial CD | |
| and DVD discs have volume tags, you may |
| occasionally come across one that does not. In this |
| case, there is nothing for the PowerFile to read, so |
| the disc will remain listed as Unidentified disc even |
| after the disc has been mounted into a drive. |
| - | Disc is damaged, scratched, dirty, etc. Verify that |
| there are no scratches, smudges, or data integrity |
| issues on the disc. |
| - Disc is blank recordable or rewritable. This should be | |
| fixed in upcoming releases. |
