TROUBLESHOOTING
Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Red the symptom that
applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance Is needed, call our toll-free HELPUNE at
1-800-736-6879, Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Central Time (excluding holidays).
PROBLEM: The power does not turn on
SOLUTION: a. Make sure that the power cordis pluggedinto a surge suppressor,and that the surgesuppressor
isplugged Into a properly grounded outlet(see page 7). Use onlya single-outletsurge suppressor
that meets all of the specifications describedon page7. Important:The treadmill Is notcompatible
withGFCI-equipped outlets.
b. After the power cordhas been pluggedin,make surethatthe keyis fully inserted into the console.
c. Checkthe circuitbreaker located on the treadmill J=
frame near the power cord. ffthe switchprotrudes c
as shown, the cimult breaker has tdpped. To reset Tdpped
the cimuit breaker, waitfor five minutes and then
pressthe switch back in.
PROBLEM: The power turns off during use

SOLUTION: a. Check thecircuit breaker locatedon the treadmill frame near the power cord (see the drawing
above). Ifthe circuit breaker hastripped, wait for five minutes and then press the switchback in.
b. Make sure that the power cord is plugged in. Ifthe power cord is plugged in, unplug it,wait for five
minutes, and then plug itback in.
c. Remove the keyfrom the console. Reinsert the key fully intothe console.
d. If the treadmill still will not ran, please callour toll-free HELPLINE.
PROBLEM: The displays of the console do not function properly
SOLUTION: a. Check the bettedes inthe console. Ifthe batteries need to be replaced,see BATTERY
INSTALLATION on page 8. Most problemsare the resultof drained batteries.
b. Remove the keyfrom the consoleand UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD. Removethe ResistanceKnob (98)
from the left Upright. RemOve the screws from the
hood, and carefully remove the hood.
Locate the Reed Switch (86) and the Magnet (87) on
the left side of the Pulley (85). Turn the Pulley untilthe
Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure
that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed
Switch is about 1/8". If necessary, loosen the Screw
(82) andmove theReed Switchslightly.Retighten the
Screw. Re-attach thehood, andrun the treadmill for a
few minutesto checkfor a correct speed reading.
Reattach the Resistance Knob.
