An alternative way to create a file system is to do so from the SNFS home page. However, this method is a more advanced task, and requires steps that are simplified when you create a file system through the Configuration Wizard (or by choosing Add File System from the StorNext home page’s Admin menu). For this reason, the preferred method of creating a file system is the one described in Adding a File System on page 83.

The following steps are required to create a file system from the SNFS home page:

1. Add a file system.
