VENTING

The vent pipe must be the same size or larger than what is indicated. The D-2 Power Vent are capable of 360-degree discharge rotation and operate with a positive vent static pressure and with a vent gas temperature less than 400°F. The total length of horizontal run shall not exceed an equivalent of 40 feet including termination cap. For all cases, each 90-degree elbow reduces the maximum horizontal vent run by 10 feet and each 45-degree elbow in the vent run reduces the maximum vent run by 5 feet. See the table for maximum vent lengths using 90-degree and 45-degree elbows. The D-2 Power Vent uses positive pressure to push flue gases through the vent pipe to the outside. The vent must be installed to prevent the flue gas leakage. Care must be taken during assembly to insure that all joints are sealed properly and are airtight.

The vent must be installed to prevent the potential accumulation of condensate in the vent pipes. It is recommened that:

a)The vent be installed with a slight downward slope of not more than 1/4” per foot of horizontal run to the vent terminal.

b)The vent be insulated through the length of horizontal run.

For appliances installed in extreme cold climate, it is recommended that:

a)The vent be installed with a slight upward slope of not more than 1/4” per foot of horizontal run to the vent terminal. In this case, an approved condensate trap must be installed per applicable codes.

b)The vent be insulated through the length of the horizontal run.

Raypak, a leading manufacturer in the heating solutions industry, offers a robust range of commercial and residential heating systems, including the Raypak models 405, 265, 335, and 185. These units are designed with advanced technology to provide efficient, reliable heating for swimming pools, spas, and hydronic heating systems.

One of the standout features of the Raypak series is its use of a fully modulating gas valve. This technology allows the heaters to adjust their output efficiently according to the heating demand, ensuring optimal energy consumption and maintaining consistent water temperatures. Additionally, each model is equipped with an advanced digital control system that offers precise temperature settings, easy programming, and user-friendly operation.

The Raypak 405 model is known for its high BTU output, making it ideal for larger commercial pools or spas. It boasts a durable construction designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, featuring a rust-resistant cabinet that ensures longevity and reliability. The model also employs a high-efficiency heat exchanger, which improves heat transfer and minimizes energy loss.

Similarly, the Raypak 265 and 335 models provide a balance of power and efficiency for mid-sized applications. The 265 is perfect for smaller commercial spaces while maintaining robust performance. The 335 offers additional heating capacity, making it suitable for slightly larger pools or spas. Both models include Raypak's patented PolyTuf powder coating, which enhances their durability and resistance to corrosion and fading.

The Raypak 185 model caters primarily to residential heating needs, ensuring homeowners can enjoy warm pools and spas without excessive energy costs. It combines compact design with powerful performance, allowing it to fit seamlessly into smaller spaces without sacrificing efficiency.

Another notable technology present in all Raypak models is the use of a titanium heat exchanger, which provides superior resistance to scale and corrosion. This feature is particularly advantageous in areas with hard water, where traditional heat exchangers may fail prematurely.

In conclusion, the Raypak 405, 265, 335, and 185 models represent the latest advancements in heating technology. With features such as modulating gas valves, advanced digital controls, durable construction, and efficient heat exchangers, these units are well-equipped to meet the diverse heating needs of both residential and commercial applications. Raypak continues to set the standard in the industry, ensuring reliable performance and energy efficiency for years to come.
