Connecting the TV to Component Video (DVD only)

Use this connection for superior picture quality when watching DVD movies.

Connect a component video cable from the

COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back panel of the system to the component video inputs on your television. Set your television to view its Component Video input.

NOTE: PROGRESSIVE SCAN - To enable Progressive Scan, open the DVD disc tray and then press STOP 5 times (PSCAN ON appears on the

front panel display). To return to Interlaced Scan mode, open the disc tray and press STOP 5 times (PSCAN OFF appears on the front panel display).

IMPORTANT: When Progressive Scan is enabled, no Composite or S-Video signals are available from the DVD player.

CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES

Four additional audio/video inputs and outputs are provided to connect external devices, such as a VCR, satellite receiver or digital cable box (optional).

AV INPUT 1

Connect to the audio/video outputs of a video game, camcorder, or other external device with audio/video cables.

AV INPUT 2

Connect to the audio/video outputs of a cable box, VCR, or other external device with audio/video cables.

Line Out

Connect to the inputs of your TV, stereo, or other external device with audio/video cables.

IMPORTANT: To prevent audio echo, do not use the TV sound system and the home theater sound system at the same time.

Digital In (Coaxial)

Connect to the digital audio output of a satellite receiver, or other external device with a digital coaxial cable.
