The Buttons on the Remote Control
To enter a
Arrow buttons (up, down, left, right) Press the arrow buttons to move through the
ANTENNA Functions as TV/VCR button in VCR mode and TV/receiver button in SAT•CABLE mode.
AUX (auxiliary) Puts the remote in auxiliary mode to operate the component you’ve programmed the remote to operate with this button. You can program this button to control a cable box, most RCA, GE and PROSCAN audio components, a laserdisc player, or a VCR. If you set up the Auto Tuning feature (Chapter 3), pressing the AUX button automatically tunes the TV to the correct channel.
CH (up and down) buttons Scan up or down through the current channel list. Press once to change the channel up or down; press and hold to continue changing channels.
CH CTRL (Channel Control) Selects the picture window (main window or PIP window) that changes when you press the channel up or channel down button or the WHO•INPUT button.
CLEAR Removes any menu or display from the screen and returns you to TV viewing.
DVD Puts the remote in DVD mode. If you set up the Auto Tuning feature (Chapter 3), pressing the DVD button automatically tunes the TV to the correct channel.
FORWARD If you’re operating a VCR or DVD Player with the remote control, press FORWARD to advance a disc or videotape.
GO BACK Returns you to the previous channel.
GUIDE Press GUIDE to make the GUIDE Plus+ system appear on the screen: press GUIDE again to remove it from the screen.
INFO Displays channel information.
L.E.D.
MENU Displays the TV’s Main menu. You can also press and hold for 2 seconds to display the GUIDE Plus+ system.
MUTE Lowers the volume to its minimum level. Press again to restore volume.
OK When a menu is on the screen, press OK to select the item that is highlighted.
