1.Haga el primer corte a quince centí- metros del tronco del árbol, del lado inferior de la rama. Utilice el lado superior de la barra de guía para re- alizar este corte. Atraviese la rama hasta llegar a 1/3 de su diámetro. (vea la Figura 20).

2.Desplácese entre cinco y diez centí- metros hacia el extremo de la rama. Haga el segundo corte desde la parte superior de al misma. Atraviese la rama completamente hasta cortarla.

3.Haga el tercer corte tan cerca del tronco como sea posible, del lado in- ferior de la rama. Utilice la parte su- perior de la barra de guía. Atraviese la rama hasta alcanzar 1/3 de su diámetro.

4.Haga el cuarto corte directamente en- cima del tercero. Corte hacia abajo hasta unirse al tercer corte. De esta manera conseguirá retirar la base de la rama.
