Limiting the Shutter Speed (Slow Shutter Lmt)

The maximum shutter speed can be limited to the following: 1/8 second, 1/4 second, and 1/2 second.

When this function is set to [Off], the maximum shutter speed varies depending on the ISO setting.

1 Switch the mode selector to 5.

2 Press the MENU/OK button.

• The Shooting menu is displayed.

3 Press the " button to select [Slow Shutter Lmt] and press the $ button.

4 Press the !" buttons to select the desired setting.

5 Press the MENU/OK button, or

#button and press the MENU/ OK button.

• The setting appears on the screen.

When time exposure is set to [On], priority is given to time exposure.

When scene mode is set to [Nightscape], priority is given to the maximum shutter speed in [Nightscape].

When the flash is set to [Flash Synchro.], the longest shutter speed is one second.

When using the slow shutter limit, the light quantity may be insufficient depending on the brightness of the subject, resulting in a dark image. In this case, try the following:

Selecting a greater slow shutter limit.

Raising the ISO setting. (GP.95)

Using the flash. (GP.36)
