Connecting

There are two methods of connecting to an UltraLink, the connect menu and the toolbar. The toolbar button connects to the UltraLink selected in the select list on the toolbar with a single click.

The connection may not complete for one of the following reasons:

UltraLink is busy with a local user or another Viewer

UltraLink address is incorrect

UltraLink is powered off

Network is not available

Another login occurs at the same time

In these cases, the Viewer presents the user with an appropriate message.

Once connected, the Viewer prompts for a valid user ID and password. If the time to respond to a login exceeds a limit, the UltraLink displays a message and disconnects.

An UltraLink allows three login attempts before disconnecting. If a valid user ID and password are not entered in three attempts, the UltraLink terminates the connection and the Viewer displays a message.
