Troubleshooting

PROBLEM		SOLUTION
Machine does not work.		Coffeemaker is not plugged in.
		Check outlet (power source); Fuse may be out.
There are coffee grounds in		Coffee Grind is too fine.
the brewed coffee.		Too much coffee in the filter basket.
		The carafe was not fully inserted.
		Removable Internal Filter Basket Holder needs to be cleaned.
		Need to have a #4 filter in the Internal Filter Basket Holder.
Coffee is not hot enough.		Thermal carafe needed to be preheated with hot water.
		Coffeemaker needs to be decalcified.
		Coffee being used was not at room temperature.
Carafe lid, carafe or machine		Part of coffeemaker needs to be cleaned;
has an odd odor.		See Decalcifying Section for Instructions.
Machine overflowed.		Hot water could not get through the opening at the bottom
		of the filter holder. Remove filter basket holder and thoroughly
		clean by hand. Look for loose coffee grounds that may be blocking flow.
		While pulling the thermal carafe away to take a cup of coffee, too much
		water stayed in the brewing chamber and spilt over the top.
		Insert thermal carafe and continue brewing cycle.
	Control Pad/Timer doesn’t	The material encasing the control pad is splashproof, not waterproof. If the
work; No lights come on		control pad has water inside it, it may cause temporary delay until it dries
when I try to turn on the		out. The buttons would not work and the lights on the clock go out.
