Preparing Your Coffeemaker For Use

Before using your Saeco Renaissance XV, we recommend that you filter water through the machine to remove any dust particles or residues that the machine may have retained from the factory. Please note that NO coffee should be used during this process. The steps are as follows:

1.Fill the water reservoir with 50 ounces of water.

2.Place the assembled thermal carafe into the brewing area. Be sure to push the carafe all the way into the unit to trigger the carafe insertion sensor.

3.Plug in machine. Press On the On/Off Button. The blue light next to the On/Off Button will illuminate and the water will begin to brew into the thermal carafe.

4.When approximately half of the water has run through, press Off the On/Off Button. Allow the remaining water to sit in the reservoir to soak for 15 to 30 minutes.

Press On the On/Off Button and allow the remaining water to run through the machine. The machine will automatically turn off when all of the water has been brewed through the machine.

Discard the water from the carafe and allow the machine to cool for at least 15 minutes.

Your machine is now ready for use!
