4. Rotate metal retainer, then insert retainer up through the plastic shell and pad.

5. From the top, pull buckle free from plastic shell and pad.

You must remove the harness system to remove the pad on the plastic shell.

Remove both lower harness guides (A) in bottom of child restraint under recline stand.
Push harness guide lip toward outside of plastic shell with one hand while pulling harness guide from the front with the other.
