When the color contrast is not clear
(When someone is wearing clothes similar in
color to the background)
When the subject is in front of a strong
backlight
When the subject generates strong refl ected
light
When there is a horizontally repeated line
pattern(window blinds, etc.)
When the subject is not located in the center
When there is a fl at white wall behind the
subject which does not have specifi c patterns
When there is a fast moving subject
When the subject is too close to the camera
Getting your subject in focus
Under the following circumstances, it may be diffi cult to get your subject in focus:
Please try to use the focus lock function.
Adjust the focus by using the half-shutter
function where the camera can focus easily.
Then, simply press the [Shutter] button after
moving the camera to a desired composition.
Keep pressing and holding down the half-shutter
until you actually make a photo shot.
Under the half-shutter state, press the [AEL]
button of the camera to fi x the exposure
value and focus information at the same time
according to the setting. To cancel the function,
press the [AEL] button once more. (CD-ROM
