Valitse jokin neljästä tallennustilasta halutun tallennusajan ja kuvanlaadun mukaan painamalla REC MODE -painiketta toistuvasti, kun laite on pysäytystilassa. Yleensä kuvanlaatu paranee, kun tallennusaika lyhenee. FR-tilassa sopivin tallennustila valitaan automaattisesti levyn jäljellä olevan ajan ja ajastintallennuksen pituuden mukaan. Tämä toiminto valitaan

XP-, SP-, LP- ja EP-tiloissa, ja sitä voidaan käyttää ajastintallennukseen.
