Du kan benytte en kortere lukkertid under de

samme lysforhold ved at forøge ISO-følsomheden. Billedet kan imidlertid blive overeksponeret under meget lyse forhold.

Jo højere ISO-værdi du benytter, jo større er kameraets lysfølsomhed. Derfor er det bedre til at tage billeder under mørke forhold. Støjniveauet i billedet bliver imidlertid højere, når ISO-værdien øges, så billedet kommer til at se mere “kornet” ud.
