Zibspuldzes pavadošais numurs

Zibspuldzes modeļa numurs apzīmē zibspuldzes jaudu, un maksimālais radītās gaismas daudzums tiek apzīmēts ar tā saucamo "pavadošā numura" vērtību. Jo lielāks pavadošā numura skaitlis, jo vairāk gaismas izdala zibspuldze. Pavadošais numurs tiek aprēķināts, reizinot attālumu no zibspuldzes līdz objektam ar diafragmas atvērumu, kad ISO jutība iestatīta uz 100.

Pavadošais numurs = attālums starp zibspuldzi un objektu x diafragmas atvēruma vērtība

Diafragmas atvēruma vērtība = pavadošais numurs/attālums no zibspuldzes līdz objektam

Attālums no zibspuldzes līdz objektam = pavadošais numurs/ diafragmas atvēruma vērtība

Tāpēc, ja zināt zibspuldzes pavadošo numuru, iestatot zibspuldzi manuāli, varat aprēķināt optimālo attālumu no zibspuldzes līdz objektam. Piemēram, ja zibspuldzes pavadošais numurs ir GN 20 un tā atrodas

4 metru attālumā no objekta, optimālā diafragmas atvēruma vērtība ir F5.0.
