Filkompatibilitet

Enheten spelar upp filer som skapats i MP3-format (Mpeg1.Layer3) med *.mp3 som filtillägg, samt vissa WMA- filer med filtillägget .WMA kan inte spelas upp. Uppspelning är omöjlig för MP2-filer eller 22KHz.

DTS-CD kan inte spelas upp.

Hur många MP3-filer kan en CD-R- eller CD-RW-skiva spela in?

Maximal kapacitet för en CD-R- eller CD-RW-skiva är 680 MB. Normalt sett har en MP3-fil en kapacitet på 4 MB, varför omkring 170 filer kan spelas in på en enda skiva.

Angående uppspelning av CD-R/RW

I fall där det gäller en original-CD-R (inspelningsbar) som spelats in med musik-CD-format, CD-RW (överskrivningsbar) och redigerats av användaren, bearbetas uppspelningen på respektive slutförd status. (Spelaren kanske inte kan spela upp beroende på egenskaperna hos cd-skivan eller inspeln- ingsstatus).

CD-RW är något mindre reflekterande än CD, vilket gör att de tar något längre tid att läsa.
