1 Stäng av strömmen till den stationära datorn och koppla loss strömkabeln.

2Ta bort den stationära datorns kåpa.

3 Om du ska använda SSD:n som extra lagringsenhet monterar du den i en 2,5-tums hårddiskplats. Anslut sedan SATA-kabeln och strömkabeln till SSD:n. Om datorn har enbart 3,5-tums hårddiskplatser sätter du fast SSD:n på ett 2,5-tums till 3,5-tums adapterfäste innan du monterar den på en tom hårddiskplats.

4 Om du byter ut en befintlig hårddisk mot SSD:n kopplar du ur alla kablar som är anslutna till hårddisken och avlägsnar den från hårddiskplatsen. Fäst SSD:n på ett 2,5-tums till 3,5- tums adapterfäste och montera den på en tom hårddiskplats. Till slut ansluter du SATA-kabeln och strömkabeln ordentligt.

Obs! Stationära datorer har flera SATA- portar, beroende på datorchipset och moderkortsmodellen. Samsung rekommenderar att SSD:n ansluts till den SATA 6 Gb/s-port som har lägst nummer.

Även om SSD:er i 830-serien är kompatibla med både SATA 3 Gb/s- och 6 Gb/s-portar måste produkten anslutas till en SATA 6 Gb/s- port för att få maximala prestanda.

De flesta stationära datorer har fyra till sex SATA-portar och varje SATA-port är numrerad på moderkortet.

Om SATA-portarnas nummer inte visas på moderkortet och du är osäker på portnumren kan du installera SSD:n på vilken tillgänglig port som helst.

Vanligtvis anges SATA 6 Gb/s-portar med blå färg. Mer information finns i datorns och moderkortets användarhandböcker.
