Verwenden eines drahtlosen Netzwerks mit Hilfe des Setup- Programms für WLAN (bei Verwendung einer 11b-Karte)

Für alle Betriebssysteme außer Windows XP ist die Installation des WLAN-Setup- Programms und die Konfiguration der drahtlosen Netzwerkumgebung erforderlich.

Zur Verwendung mit einer 11g-Karte, siehe (p45).

Führen Sie zum Verwenden eines drahtlosen Netzwerks folgende Schritte aus:

•Schritt 1. Installieren Sie das Programm Client Manager.

•Schritt 2. Richten Sie ein drahtloses Netzwerk ein.

Zum Herstellen einer Verbindung mit einem drahtlosen Peer-to-Peer- Netzwerk führen Sie auf beiden Zielcomputern die folgenden Schritte aus.

Schritt 1. Installieren des Programms Client Manager

Installieren Sie das Programm Client Manager von der Systemsoftware-CD auf den Computern, die mit dem Netzwerk verbunden werden sollen.

Schritt 2. Einrichten eines drahtlosen Netzwerks

1.Doppelklicken Sie auf der Taskleiste auf das Symbol des WLAN-Programms

(). (Oder, klicken Sie auf Start > Programme > WLAN > Client Manager)

2.Klicken Sie im Menü Aktionen auf Konfigurationsprofil.

3.Wählen Sie in der Liste Verfügbare Netzwerke einen Netzwerknamen aus, und klicken Sie auf Bearbeiten.

Wenn kein Netzwerk angezeigt wird, klicken Sie auf Aktualisieren.

Ein Zugriffspunktnetzwerk wird mit dem Symbol ( ), ein Peer-to-Peer- WLAN-Netzwerk mit dem Symbol () dargestellt.

4.Geben Sie im Dialogfeld Funknetzwerk-Eigenschaften im Feld Profilname eine Namen ein.

5.Wenn ein Verschlüsselungsschlüssel für das Zugriffspunkt- bzw. Peer-to-Peer- Netzwerk konfiguriert wurde, wählen Sie im Feld für den WLAN-Schlüssel (WEP) die Option Verschlüsselung aktivieren aus, geben den entsprechenden Verschlüsselungsschlüssel ein und klicken auf OK.
