Verwenden der Systemsicherheit

In diesem Abschnitt werden die Sicherheitsprogramme des Computers beschrieben. Den Anfang macht das BIOS-Standardsicherheitsprogramm, das in der Regel auf fast allen Computern installiert ist. Des weiteren wird als Option ab Werk ein hochentwickeltes Biometric-Sicherheitssystem angeboten, das den Zugriff auf den Computer und persönliche Dateien bei Bedarf anhand Ihres Fingerabdrucks steuert. Sie müssen sich dann keine Sorgen mehr über verloren gegangene, gestohlene oder vergessene Paßwörter machen.

BIOS-Sicherheit

Im Folgenden finden Sie Erläuterungen zu den BIOS-Sicherheitsoperationen:

Systemkennwörter

Der Rechner verfügt über vier kennwortgeschützte Sicherheitsebenen: Administratorebene (Supervisor Password), Benutzerebene (User Password), Festplattenzugriff (HDD Access) und Kennwort bei Systemstart (Password on Boot). Diese Kennwörter schützen vor unbefugtem Zugriff auf den Rechner. Das Administratorkennwort gewährt vollen Zugriff auf alle BIOS-Einstellungen. Das Benutzerkennwort gewährt vollen Zugriff auf die Sicherheitsfelder "Set User Password" (Benutzerkennwort einrichten) und "Password on Boot" (Kennwort bei Systemstart) sowie Lesezugriff auf alle anderen BIOS-Einstellungen. Das HDD- Kennwort steuert den Festplattenzugriff.

Sie haben ebenfalls die Möglichkeit, den Systemstart durch biometrische Sicherheitsverfahren zu steuern.

Es sind drei Sicherheitsoptionen für den Systemstart verfügbar:

Vor der Aktivierung von Fingerabdrücken als Sicherheitsoption muss eine Sicherheitssoftware für biometrische Verfahren installiert werden.

•Disabled (Deaktiviert)

•Text password (Textkennwort)

•Finger Print (Fingerabdruck)

Falls mehrere Benutzer Zugriffsrechte für den Rechner haben (zum Beispiel in einer Netzwerkumgebung), kann die Einrichtung eines Administratorkennworts den unbefugten Zugriff auf die festgelegten Sicherheitsoptionen verhindern.

Wählen Sie hierzu den Ihrem Arbeitsbereich entsprechenden Kennworttyp aus.
