Direct pen input

Fill in forms and write messages using your handwriting with the S Pen.

Hover the S Pen over a text field.

Tap to open the handwriting field.

Write with the S Pen.

When composing a message in Messages, tap DRAWING MODE at the top of the handwriting field to switch to drawing mode. A drawing will be inserted into the message as an attachment.

When you are finished, tap DONE.

If this feature is not activated, open the Apps screen, tap Settings →S Pen →Direct pen input, and then tap the switch to activate it.
