Pode configurar o televisor de forma a que este possa aceder à Internet através da sua rede local (LAN) utilizando uma ligação com ou sem fios.

Pode ligar o televisor à LAN utilizando o cabo de três formas diferentes:

yy Pode ligar o televisor à LAN estabelecendo a ligação entre a porta LAN, existente atrás do televisor, e um modem externo utilizando um cabo Cat 5. Consulte o diagrama abaixo.

yy Consoante a configuração da sua rede, poderá ligar o televisor à LAN estabelecendo a ligação directa entre a porta LAN, existente atrás do televisor, e uma tomada de rede utilizando um cabo Cat 5. Consulte o diagrama abaixo. Lembre-se que a tomada está ligada a um modem ou a um router existente noutro local da sua casa.

Se tiver uma rede dinâmica, deve utilizar um modem ADSL ou um router que suporte o protocolo de configuração de servidor dinâmico (DHCP - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Os modems e os routers que suportam DHCP fornecem automaticamente o endereço IP, a máscara de sub-rede, a gateway e o DNS de que o seu televisor necessita para aceder à Internet, não sendo necessário introduzir estes dados manualmente. A maioria das redes domésticas são redes dinâmicas.

Algumas redes requerem um endereço IP estático. Se a sua rede requerer um endereço IP estático, tem de introduzir manualmente o endereço IP, a máscara de sub-rede, a gateway e o DNS no ecrã de configuração da ligação por cabo do televisor quando configurar a ligação de rede. Para obter o endereço IP, a máscara de sub-rede, a gateway e o DNS, contacte o seu fornecedor de serviços de Internet (ISP - Internet Service Provider). Se tiver um computador com o Windows, também pode obter estes dados através do seu computador.

✎✎ Pode utilizar um modem ADSL que suporte DHCP se a sua rede requerer um endereço IP estático. Um modem ADSL que suporte DHCP também permite utilizar endereços IP estáticos.
