●● 480i / 480p / 720p / 1080i / 1080p

Suele referirse al número de líneas de exploración efectiva que determina la resolución de la pantalla. Hay dos métodos de exploración: entrelazado y progresivo.

––Exploración

Proyección secuencial de píxeles para formar imágenes. Cuanto mayor es el número de píxeles, más claras y nítidas son las imágenes.

––Progresivo

Método de exploración secuencial que explora cada línea, una tras otra.

––Entrelazado

Método de exploración escalonada que explora una de cada dos líneas hasta el final de la pantalla y, a continuación, rellena las líneas restantes.

Ejemplo) Si el número de líneas de exploración horizontales es 480i

Explora 240 líneas desde el principio al final y, a continuación, explora las 240 líneas restantes hasta alcanzar el total de 480 líneas.

●● ARC (canal de retorno de audio)

ARC permite que el sonido digital del televisor salga a un dispositivo de audio y que el sonido digital del mismo dispositivo de audio entre a través de un cable HDMI. Sin embargo, ARC solo está disponible a través del puerto HDMI (ARC) y únicamente cuando el televisor está conectado a un receptor AV compatible con ARC.
