Preventing red-eye a p s

If the flash fires when you take a photo of a person in the dark, a red glow may appear in the eyes. To prevent this, select Red-eye or Red-eye Fix.

Using the flash S a p A h n s

Use the flash when taking photos in the dark or when you need more light on your photos.

1 In Shooting mode, press [F].

Auto

2 Select an option. Option Description

Off:

t The flash will not fire.

t Camera shake warning ( ) will be displayed when shooting in low light.

Auto: The camera will select a proper flash setting for the detected scene in the S mode.

Red-eye Fix*:

tThe flash fires when the subject or background is dark.

tThe camera corrects red-eyes through its advanced software analysis.
