Sljedeći simboli pružaju upute za održavanje tkanine. Etikete za održavanje sadrže četiri simbola prema ovom redoslijedu: pranje, izbjeljivanje, sušenje i glačanje (i kemijsko čišćenje po potrebi). Korištenje simbola osigurava usklađenost među proizvođačima tkanina domaćih i uvezenih predmeta.
