CAPTURING STILL IMAGES
1Set the camera to the still image
shooting mode (see page 59).
2Take a picture.
1Point the camera lens at the
subject. Slowly press and hold the
shutter release button halfway.
œThe area in the center of the LCD
monitor comes clearly into focus,
and the focus icon ë appears in
the upper left corner (focus-lock).
œIf the Shooting Setting Screen
(see page 45) or Shooting
Information Screen (see page
124) was displayed, it is exited.
œThe focus icon does not appear if
the focus is set to telephoto å
or manual !, or during quick
shot shooting (see page 121).
2Press the shutter release button all
the way.
œThe image is captured.
NOTE
œYou can view the image captured on the LCD monitor by holding the
shutter release button down.
œThe stand-by indicator will flash red while the image is being written to the
memory. Another image can only be captured when the stand-by indicator
lights green again.
œThe camera is ready for capturing the next image after about 1 second.
