FOCUS RANGE
If you set the focus range to match the distance from the camera to the
subject, it’s easy to bring the subject into focus.
1 Display PAGE2 of the RECORDING MENU (page 62).
2 Select the focus menu.
hIf manual focus - is selected, please see “How to use the manual
focus” (page79).
3 Select the desired icon from the focus menu, and press the SET
button.
hThe focus range setting is completed.
4 Take the picture.

HINT
iBy assigning an operation shortcut to an arrow button (page134), you can
change the focus range setting or lock the focus from the Shooting Screen.
iWhen the focus range is set to super macro +, the zoom is temporarily
set to the wide end.
-:Wide end: 10cm (3.94 in.) to infinity
Tele end: 80cm (31.50 in.) to infinity (total range mode)
*:80 cm (31.50 in.) to infinity (normal mode)
-:T he focus can be manually set to any distance from 1cm (0.39 in.)
to 8m (26.25 ft.), as we ll as to infinity (manual focus).
+:1 cm (0.39in.) to 80 cm (31.50 in.) (super macro mode: wide end
only)
