USING THE ZOOM

Your camera has two zoom functions: optical zoom and digital zoom. You can specify whether or not the digital zoom is enabled (page 140).

1 Point the camera lens at the subject.

2 Press [T] or [W] on the zoom switch to compose the desired image.

[T]: Zoom in on the subject.

[W]: Zoom out.

hWhen the zoom switch is pressed, the zoom bar appears

on the monitor.

hWhen moving the optical zoom,

press the zoom switch lightly to zoom slowly, and press more strongly to zoom quickly.

hWhen the optical zoom factor is at maximum, zooming stops temporarily. When the zoom switch is pressed toward the [T] side again, the mode changes to the digital zoom mode and zooming continues.
