Adjusting Image Density

There are three types of adjustment

available:

vAuto Image Density

The machine automatically adjusts

image density.

vManual image density

You can adjust the density of the

overall original in seven incre-

ments.

vCombined auto and manual image

density

Use when copying originals with a

dirty background (such as news-

papers). You can adjust fore-

ground density while leaving the

background unchanged.

Auto image density

AMake sure that [Auto Image Density]

is selected.

Manual image density

APress [Auto Image Density] to cancel

it.

BPress [Lighter] or [Darker] to adjust

the image density.

Combined auto and manual image

density

AMake sure that [Auto Image Density]

is selected.

BPress [Lighter] or [Darker] to adjust

the density.
