EL PRINCIPIO

Los dos auriculares contienen cada uno una cápsula de micrófono a électret, un circuito de realimentación y un sistema transductor. El ruido ambiental recibido por los micrófonos consiste en señales parásitos y el señal útil. Los señales son amplificados y el señal útil es filtrado. El señal parásito es tratado al nivel electrónico y puesto en oposición de fase. Entonces el señal útil es añadido al señal parásito y el señal total amplifiado es transmitido a los sistemas transductor. En razón de la interferencia con el sonido en oposición de fase el señal parásito se reduce considerablemente. Al otro lado, el señal útil es reproducido sin cambiar, dado que no ha atravesado el circuito de compensación.

La figura muestra la compensación del ruido con el sistema NoiseGard: La compensación passiva del ruido atenúa sobre todo las medias y altas frecuencias. La atenuación de frecuencias inferior a 500 Hz ya no es suficiente. No obstante, gracias a la compensación activa el ruido se reduce de 25 dB aproximadamente en la gama de frecuencias de 25 a 500 Hz. La atenuación total que resulta de la compensación activa y passiva del ruido se eleva a 30 dB aproximadamente en toda la gama audio.

Una reducción del ruide de 10 dB se percibe subjetivamente como la bisección de la intensidad del sonido original. Si el ruido se reduce de otras 10 dB, esto se percibe como otra bisección de la intensidad del sonido etc.
