Preparation for Use
- Changing the initial setting of DVD -
Changing the initial setting of DVD Turn on the TV, and switch the input to the "VIDEO 1" or "VIDEO 2" etc. accord-
ingly.
A new setting will be retained even if the DVD player is set to the stand-by mode. If
you want to restore or change the setting, reset it.

Notes:
!You cannot display the setup screen while a disc is playing.
!See page 21 for selecting another language for disc menus.
!The previous screen appears by pressing the RETURN button while selecting
an item or setting.
1Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
!The startup screen appears.
!If the startup screen does not appear, set the input to "DVD".
!The disc should be stopped at this time.
2After pressing the button, press the SETUP DVD button.
3Press the or button to select the menu and press the ENT but-
ton.
4Press the or button to change the setting and press the ENT
button.
Example: "PLAYER MENU" is selected
Repeat the operation as instructed.
(The number of repetition depends on the setting item.)
To change other settings, begin from step 3.
5Press the SETUP DVD button.
The new setting is memorized.
