Tones

The Tones menu gives you different
options forthe various tones of
yourphone:
Ringing tone Choose between 10
different ringing tones.
Ringing volume Select whetheryou
want the volume of yourringing
tone to be »High«,»Medium«,
»Low« or»Off«.
SMS tone volume Select whether
you want to be alerted by a tone
when you receive an SMS.Your
options are »High«,»Medium«,
»Low« or»Off«.
Broadcast tone volume Select
whetheryou want to be alerted by
a tone when you receive a broad-
cast message.Youroptions are
»High«,»Medium«, »Low« or
»Off«.
Keytone Select whether you want
to heara tone when you press a
key on yourkeypad.Your options
are »On« and »Off«.
Facts & Tips
• Rememberthat for each entry
stored in yourphone book you can
select a specific ringing tone (p.12).
The ringing tone pattern that you
select in
»Tones«
will thus be used
forthe callers to which you have not
selected a specific ringing tone.
• You can disable all kinds of tones by
pressing
»MENU«
and then .Just
press the same keys again in the
same orderto revert to your original
settings.

Language

Select »Language« to change the
display language of yourphone.

Network selection

Phoning abroad requires the use of
a foreign network.You can select
one manually orlet your telephone
do it automatically.
Entering »Network selection«
gives you three options:
Automatic selection Let yourphone
find an available network automati-
cally.Yourphone will always try to
reach yourhome network first,
then alternatively find anotheravail-
able network.You have the possibil-
ity of establishing a preferred list
(see below) indicating the orderof
reference in which yourphone
should select a network.
Manual selection Yourphone will
always start searching forthe net-
work with which it was in contact
when it was switched off.If the
phone cannot locate this network,
it will present some alternative net-
works on the display,and you must
then select one manually.
Set preferred list Entera list of net-
works in yourown order of pre-
ference and store them on your
SIM card.
To do this,select the empty loca-
tion in which you want to storethe
new network.Pressing »EDIT« will
give you a list of networks.Find a
network you wish to store in your
preferred list,and press »OK«. If
you select a currently used location
and press »EDIT«,the formeroccu-
pant will be deleted if you entera
new one.
Facts & Tips
• If,by mistake, you select a language
which you do not understand,you can
always return to the original language
by pressing the following keys:
0000 ,in standby mode.
• If you want to store a network that
is not present in the list you get when
you press
»EDIT«
,you can select
»Specify«
and enterthe country
code and network numberof the net-
work.
• Please note that yourphone can get
in contact only with co-operating net-
works (except foremergency calls).
