Send SMS setup

Enterthis menu to set up the para-
meters forsending SMS. (To send
an SMS,see the List menu p. 23).
Service centre Enterthis menu to
set up once and forall the parame-
ters concerning yourservice centre
(this is where yourSMSs are
received and forwarded to the
recipient.) Yourphone will guide
you through the necessary steps:
*Accept to add a service cen-
tre by pressing »OK«.
*Enteryour network opera-
tor’s phone numberfor this
special service and confirm by
pressing »OK«.
*Enterthe name of your
network operatorand press
»OK«.
*Some network operators have
already entered theirown name
and telephone number.In that case
you just have to select it by press-
ing »OK«.
Select a validity time foryour
SMS and confirm yourchoice
by pressing »OK«.
The menu returns to »Service
centre«.Press »SELECT« and
then »OK«.
Now the name and the num-
berof the service centre that
you have set up will be dis-
played.Press »SELECT« to
confirm.
Facts & Tips
• Rememberto add
"+"
and national
code before the numberof your net-
work operatorso you can also send
SMS from abroad.
• The validity time is the period of
time that the SMS will remain with
yournetwork operator if for some rea-
son it cannot be delivered at once.
Having stored a service centre,
you might have the option of adding a
new service centre,deleting a stored
service centre orediting a stored
service centre.

Select »Phone book setup«
With the Phone book setup you
have these three options:

Fixed dialling

Select whetheryou want the fixed
dialling phone book to be on oroff
(read about fixed numbers forthis
extra phone book,p. 20).

Barred dialling

Select whetheryou want the barred
dialling phone book to be on oroff
(read about barred numbers forthis
extra phone book,p. 20).

Delete call information

Delete all entries stored in the out-
going,answered and/or missed
calls lists.
Facts & Tips
• To enable fixed and barred dialling
you must enteryour PUK2/PIN2 code.
• If you have turned on the fixed
dialling function,your ordinary phone
book will not be visible on the display,
and can thus not be accessed.
However,it will, of course, remain on
yourSIM card and can be accessed
again by turning off the fixed dialling
function.
