4 Press ENTER/START.

The tape deck stands by for recording and the MD deck pauses for play.

When you want to record on the reverse side, press TAPE nNso that “ n” appears in the display.

5 Press PLAY MODE DIRECTION repeatedly until appears to record on

one side or (or ) to record on both sides.

6 Verify that “Press START” flashes in the display. Then press ENTER/START.

To stop recording

Press MD xor TAPE x.

Note

If the tape becomes full during recording, the MD deck and the tape deck stop automatically.

Tips

You can record only your favorite MD tracks with MD Program Play. After step 2, follow the same procedures as from step 1 to 5 in MD Program Play (see page 14). Then go to step 3.

When you record on both sides, be sure to start from the front side. If you start from the reverse side, recording stops at the end of the reverse side.

If you select both sides recording and the tape reaches the end of the front side part-way through a track, the entire track is recorded again from the beginning of the reverse side.

Recording on a tape

— Manual Recording

With manual recording, you can record just the portions you like from a CD or an MD on a tape. You can also record a radio program.

You can use Type I (normal) tape.

1 Load a recordable tape.

2 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select the desired source to record.

3 Press TAPE REC z.

The tape deck stands by for recording. When you want to record on the reverse side, press TAPE nNso that “ n” appears in the display.

4 Press PLAY MODE DIRECTION

one side or

) to record on

5 Press TAPE Xand then start playing the desired source to record.

To stop recording

Press TAPE x.

Tips
