Protecting images

— Protect

This function protects images against accidental erasure.

Mode dial

In single-image mode

aSet the mode dial to .

bDisplay the image you want to protect with b/B.cPress MENU.

The menu appears.

dSelect - (Protect) with b/B, then press z.

The displayed image is protected. The - (protect) indicator appears on the image.

In index modeaSet the mode dial to , thenpress (Index) to display the index screen.

bPress MENU.

The menu appears.

cSelect - (Protect) with b/B, then press z.dSelect [Select] with b/B, then press z.

e Select the image you want to

protect with v/V/b/B, then

press z.

The green - indicator appears on the

MENU	Control button	Protect
		Exit
		BACK/NEXT

selected image.

•Note that formatting the “Memory Stick” erases all the data in the “Memory Stick” even if images are protected, and these images cannot be recovered.

•It may take some time to protect the images.

eTo continue and protect other images, select the desired image with b/B, then press z.

To cancel the protection

Press z again in step 4or 5. The - indicator disappears.

fRepeat step 5to protect other images.gPress MENU.
