JackDescription1HD/DVD IN 2 Connects to your equipment’s component video (YPBPR) output jacks. Component video
(1080i/720p/ provides better picture quality than the S VIDEO (6 of rear panel) or the composite video 2
480p/480i) connection. When Auto is selected for the Video 2 (Component) option in the Setup
settings, the component video function will be the default stream when present (see page 46).
✍Component video (YPBPR) connection is necessary to view 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i formats. Note that this TV displays all format types of picture in a resolution of 1,920 dots × 1,080 lines.

✍When connecting composite video to VIDEO IN 2, be sure to select Video 2 (Component) to Off in the Setup settings to activate both audio and video function for composite connection (see page 46).
