If you are not going to use the parallel port connector !¡ with the printer, it is not necessary to connect the printer cable 6 to the connector.

If you are going to use the parallel port connector !¡ with the printer, the printer cable is connected here once the MSAC-PR1 driver has been installed. When you connect the connector, make sure that it is the right way up. Trying to force the connector in can cause damage.
