Recording still images

Stillimages are recorded in JPEG format.

Torecord still images, slide the POWER switch to theright to turn on the power and

inserta floppy disk or a “Memory Stick.”

1Setthe PLAY/STILL/MOVIEselector to STILL.

2Selectthe recording media using the MS/FD selector.

MS:When recording on the “Memory Stick.”

FD:When rec ording on the floppy disk.

3Pressa nd hold the shutter button halfway down.

Thebeeps so und and the image is frozen. However, the image has not been

recordedyet. While the AE lock indicator zis flas hing, the camera

automaticallyadjusts the exposure and focus of the captured image. When the

camerafinishes the automatic adjustments, the AE lock indicatorz

zz

zstops

flashing,the n lights up, and the camera is ready for recording.

Ifyou rele ase the shutter button, the recording will be canceled.
