Recording moving images

Movingimag es with audio are recorded in MPEG format.

Torecord moving images, slide the POWER switch to theright to turn on the power

andinser ta f loppy disk or a “Memory Stick.”

PressDISPLAY to turnon/off the indicators on the LCD screenor on the finder.

Theseindicators are not recorded. See page 89 for a detailed description of the indicators.

“REC”appears on the LCD screen or finder, and the image and sound are

recorded on the floppy disk or “Memory Stick.”

Ifyou press the shutter button momentarily

Theimage and sound are recordedfor 5 seconds. The recording timecan be set

to10 or 15 second s with [REC TIME SET] in the menu settings (page 45).

Ifyou ho ld the shutter button down

Theimage an d sound are recorded while the shutter button is held down for up

to60 seconds. However, when [IMAGE SIZE] in the menu settings is setto

[320×240],the maximum recording time is 15 seconds(page 48).

Adjustingthe brightness of the LCD screen, zooming or using the self-timer

LCDsc reen or finder indicators during recording
