To activate Standby mode, proceed as follows:

Press <Fn>+<Esc>

You can also use the PowerPanel utility to enter Standby mode.

To return to Normal mode, proceed as follows:

 

Press any key.

 

 

 

✍If you press the power button for more than four seconds, the computer will switch off automatically. When the computer is in Standby mode, you cannot insert a disk.

Standby requires less time than Hibernate. Standby uses more power than Hibernate.

If you do not work with your computer on AC power for 30 minutes, it will enter System Standby mode. As a result, if you are using the DVD-ROM drive, the operation will be interrupted.

To avoid this, proceed as follows:1Right-click the PowerPanel icon in the taskbar.2Right-clickEdit/Create Profiles.3In the left panel, select AC Power profile.

4In the right panel, right-click Standby timer - 30 min (this is the default time) and select Off.

5When you close the window, the Profile Editor message box appears asking if you want to save the new settings.

6Click Yes.
